In this day-long workshop, explore the art of Indian woodblock printing. Hosted in FWM's printing studio, participants will be led by Padmini Govind of Tharangini Studios, a family-run textile printing studio in Bangalore, India, committed to fair trade practices and uplifting local artisan communities. Using beautiful hand-carved blocks from Tharangini’s archive, participants will learn to print with both natural dyes and synthetic pigments while developing both a silk scarf and cotton tote bag. Workshop size is limited to 25 participants.
