Performance and Reception:

The Fabric Workshop and Museum’s collection includes an extensive archive of photographic and video documentation of interviews, lectures and rare footage of FWM’s Artists-in-Residence. This weekly series provides a rare opportunity for the public to view this collection of archived material from Artist-in-Residence such as Yinka Shonibare, Do Ho Suh and Kara Walker. The films illuminate how Artists-in-Residence and Museum staff actualize artistic concepts and resolve challenges for works created for the permanent collection. Viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the artists’ diverse methodologies and how the collaborative process of creation at FWM works.
